I think really being exposed to seeing how well we actually went through training with Choice Hotels

who Steve Joyce is the CEO of, went through and was so impressed by how not coming from the hotel industry, we could be fully trained to replicate a successful business model.

And I had always wanted, even in our original business plan, didn't know the distribution method, but always wanted to be able to deliver our health care services around the country and eventually around the world and make a difference in terms of the quality of care.

And franchising, after exposure to it,

made a lot of sense as to an ability to keep control over the quality and the branding and the customer experience, but being very diligent on the selection of good people who were going to be in it for the right reasons, but also were committed to doing what it takes to grow a small business and get it to the point of being successful.

And franchising seemed to kind of marry those two things for me, a great distribution model with a great group of people

to be able to help more families everywhere.

Absolutely.

I think you're right.

I mean, I think for the first two to three years, I just really became a student of franchising.

I think I quickly realized that I was, while I'm in the business of healthcare, to be a great franchisor, I had to not only be able to be great at healthcare, I had to be great at franchising.

And I

And I had to know how to help franchisees be successful.

And I had run a healthcare business for two and a half years at that point, but I hadn't run a franchise.

And so I wanted to learn from those that had been around and done it before me.

And I found that so many people were willing to share with me what had gone right and what had gone wrong.
