Some, yeah, because I was an illustration major, but you had a lot of flexibility with illustration.

So I did a lot of my projects in the printmaking building because I was screen printing prints, T-shirts, stickers.

And there were not only teachers, but students complaining that he's in there doing a lot of stuff that he's going to try to sell.

That's interesting.

Tattletales.

And I thought, well, a lot of it's going to just get put up on the street.

It's going to be used for mischief.

But some of it's going to be for sale.

And why not start this process of how you survive as a working artist now?

Yes, absolutely.

And the irony is I actually got banned from the screen printing studio and would have to climb up the little bricks on the outside of the building, past the monitor on the first floor to the balcony on the second floor, except for when I had a few friends that would monitor and they would let me go by.

But they literally had a picture of me

By the studio monitor's desk, saying, like, don't let this guy in the building.

Part of it was people were complaining because the vinyl ink for stickers is really stinky, and that's true.

I lost a lot of brain cells with that stuff.

Really?

But now, ironically, after all that, they brought me onto the Rhode Island School of Design board.

Of course they did.

Look, I don't know much about art school, but I know one dude that went to art school.
