I'm sorry to interrupt about this work.
I want to talk about some of the misconceptions, as you would see, surrounding abortion.
Why is it accurate to say that abortion is health care?
I mean, this is about women taking ownership of their bodies and their futures,
We've had that since 2019, I believe, actually.
The Kansas Supreme Court recognized the right to terminate a pregnancy in the Constitution.
2022, of course, is a big year because we have the U.S.
Supreme Court taking down Roe v. Wade protections, followed by the August vote on the constitutional amendment here, which would have...
rewritten the constitution to take away that right and given the legislature the authority to do whatever they wanted, pass whatever restrictions were now an all out ban on abortion, which was actually, I know from my reporting was the goal was to ban abortion and it's entirely, Kansans rejected that with, I believe it was roughly a 60 to 40 votes, 59 to 41, something like that.
