But he's two really good breaking pitches and a sweeper and a curveball that both get a lot of swing and miss.

And he's got a six-pitch mix, so there's a lot to work with.

And I don't want to say this is like Chris Bassett, but he's probably transitioning into more of a Chris Bassett-esque type of pitcher.

As opposed to, you know, more of the power guy that he was earlier in his career and how he does that.

You know, I think that'll be, that'll tell the tale.

But, you know, the Blue Jays were in all likelihood going to need some innings.

They've got to protect Spencer Miles.

They've got to protect some of their other guys as well.

And this gives them somebody who's been a consistent and durable innings eater throughout his career.

Yeah, I mean, I think Arai's moving is sort of the bellwether there as well.

He very well might be the best position player that moves, at least sort of the best position player rental that moves between now and the deadline.

And so, you know, teams are probably going to start moving down their prep lists now that he is off the table.

So, you know, how deep are the Blue Jays going to go here?

Yeah.

That's an interesting question.

And I think the Blue Jays are still trying to find ways to add some players that help both now and in the future.

And so it's not necessarily that it's Soriano, Gosman, and they're done.

And can they make more of those types of deals where they're subtracting the expiring assets while adding some players with some term to help into the future?

I think that's the goal, and they still have some time to do that.

Yeah, I think that's certainly a piece of it.
