So this is like your spin on it.

Yes.

As in it's taking, the bones are very much the same, but I'm just, I toyed with the liquid component of it.

This one was actually fairly easy.

And I think I like to say that recipes aren't always created in a vacuum.

And I think this was a great example of that, of how much you like research and learn from other pre-existing recipes.

You know, we have a number, like Bon Appetit, we have a number of delicious mochi cake recipes on our website, which proved to be a great base.

And so the only trick here was really figuring out how much, like, what I needed to adjust in the liquid.

I feel like I've said liquid 10 times in this episode already.

But the only trick here really was for me to figure out what to tinker with in the liquid ratio to accommodate the corn.

And with the corn part, I knew going in that I wanted pureed and not just kernels because I didn't want anything interrupting that.

I didn't want anything interrupting that chewy texture of mochi, but I wanted to infuse it with corn flavor.

I didn't want to mess around with like infusing corn kernels or, you know, something like that.

So I was like, okay, I'm going to blend the corn down because you can really blend corn into like almost like a, this is going to sound disgusting, but corn milk.

Yeah.

That sounds disgusting.

It's like corn soup.

Yeah, sure.
