I think this was a great example of sometimes just listen to your instincts.
Well, I wanted to top this with something because one of the defining factors, you know, of mochi cake is that it has like a nice crust on top.
So I wanted to amplify that by putting a topping on.
And the one that I chose was a coconut topping.

My original inspiration for this was like the Danish cake.
It's called Danish dream cake.
And it's usually made with like very finely shredded coconut, you know, butter, sugar, whatever.
And it's on like a yellow cake almost, like a very buttery yellow cake.
So I thought of that and I was like, oh, let's use it on the butter mochi cake.
So I did it the first time, I remember, with the flaked coconut.
Worked great.
Put it up.
Yeah, it was good.
