I need to invest in things that look like this that can produce this kind of return.
And so, like, you know, I think if you can build a great ice cream shop or whatever.
and delivers steady returns and it hits your the bar that your LPS asked you for, then that's fine.
But I think in general when people think metric capital, that's not kind of the shape of the return.
And so
I I think when I made my earlier comment about small cap private equity is that like because of some of the um
of supply and demand for capital in this region.
If we under w wrote tech enabled services more like small cap private equity and priced it correctly, you could, I believe, still get a venture type of outcome.
This word narrative is an interesting one, right?
Because in a sense, humans love we love to tell ourselves stories.
So the story of Indonesia, in the context of the story of Southeast Asia, is like, okay, we know what China looked like, we know what India looked like.
We wanted to superimpose some of those characteristics onto this new market.
And I think at first flush, Indonesia looked great for that, right?
All those people, young demographic, good digital adoption.
And so money kind of like flooded into them.
that.
And then I think what we learned is basically that the core limiting factor is actually per capita GDP.
And there are a lot of people who mostly don't have money.
big cliff basically.
There's a drop off in how that that GDP is distributed.
