And then we looked back to see had they used any of these acne treatments.
And then we compared both people who had not used any acne treatments and those who had used only topicals and those who had used tetracyclines and those who had used isotretinoin.
And we looked to see if there was any difference in their final adult height.

These results are very reassuring.
And I think they could be used in the discussion between patients and doctors when considering isotretinoin treatment.
Because this is something that I have experienced that families are concerned about.
Because most people today look up treatments and read a lot about isotretinoin and what are the potential adverse effects.

If you have a young individual with severe acne, this may concern them.
And I think it's reassuring.
It's mainly from case reports and reports to FDA in the US that there has been some concern that young individuals who had been treated with these vitamin A-like products, that they have a reduced height.
But most of those case reports have been in another setting than acne.

young children with brain cancer, you use it in a very high dose.
It's not comparable to what we use in the care of acne, but the concern stems mainly from case reports in other patient populations.
I think that even though we didn't include as many women, the results are quite statistically robust.
