My first training session was in, I'd say, November 2016.

And then I played my first game with Italy in November 2017.

So 11 months, really.

But...

out of those 11 months, there were a lot of summer months where in Italy we don't play rugby, so I didn't play any rugby.

And I'd say before playing with Italy, I probably played four games, club games, and then I played for Italy.

And again, like I was obviously not ready for that, but I've been fortunate enough that I had that coach for Italy at that time.

I think he saw something.

And when he first asked me, do you want to play for Italy?

I was like, absolutely, I'm not ready.

I would like one day, but I'm not ready.

And he says like, well, are you the coach?

Are you the one who makes these decisions?

Like, okay, sorry.

But like, yeah, again, like obviously it was tough.

I can't lie.

Mentally, it was really tough.

I remember like after getting my first cup with Italy.

my family being there and they were like over the moon.

And I was like, this is so shaming.
