So props to my mom, but also props to all the people that are listening, the Investee Besties that are like, yeah,
yeah, you know what?
I don't know if my company is going to work out for me.
So maybe this is the time where I dabble in that idea that I have.
I have a friend who got laid off and then rehired in the same company.
I feel like restructures are continuously happening.
And she's getting to a stage where she's like, I think it's time for me to start my bridal makeup business that I've always wanted to do.
She's incredible at makeup.
And it's like, it's the time to do it.
And you don't know what's going to happen on the other side.
But the worst case scenario, I always, always, always say to my friends that want to start a business, but are scared of taking the leap is that your worst case scenario is the business doesn't take off.
And you just go back to your job.
Like your worst case scenario is what you're doing right now, having a job.
Not to say it doesn't get a bit worse than this, but it just, it's worth giving it a try.
And I think that's a really, really, really valid reason to go ahead with it.
Now, the second reason why it's worth starting a business, especially as a woman and especially
in 2026, this might be controversial, but this has been my experience and the experience of other women like myself.
And when I say other women like myself, I'm referring to young, outspoken, lippy women that are probably like women of color or have some kind of minority aspect to them.
Like they don't have the same accent as the country that they're living in.
