Or maybe it's moving to a more creative corporate role.
There's lots of options here.
Let's take a little break.
And now back to the show.
The third reason of why I think you should build a business, especially in 2026, is that the income potential that you have as a business owner is so much higher than the income potential that you have if you worked in a corporate job.
Now, of course, this is not going to be the case for everyone.
You might be a doctor and you might make $200,000 a year.
And if you become a business owner, you might, I was going to say only make $200,000 a year.
That's still a lot of money, but you know, in that case, you kind of weigh it up and go, well, I'm probably happy being a doctor.
Or I know some people that work in finance and they make a really good living.
And so if they were to start a business, it would actually be a huge reduction in their salary and they work in a job that is quite flexible.
So it doesn't really make sense to switch over.
For the people that it does make sense for are the people that have a job where the income ceiling is quite set.
So again, when I was an optometrist, I knew that my top salary, like I could start on 75,000.
Then I went to like maybe 85, 80,000.
And I knew that the most I was ever going to get paid in my
50 year career, 40 year career was $130,000, which is a lot of money.
And that's actually really great.
But it meant that over the next 30, 40 years, my salary was only going to go up by up to $50,000.
And after that, it would level off.
