It's really important that those budgets do place a focus on, we call them different things, it doesn't matter if it's squeeze middle, middle Ireland, people who get up early in the morning, we know who they are.
People who are working hard, middle income earners, they might have a good income on paper.
But actually, when they pay the tax, when they pay the childcare bill, when they pay the mortgage, they're still going, is that it?
And we have to help them build up the resilience.
And there's a couple of ways we can do that.
Childcare, moving on that childcare commitment, really, really important.
Tax bans, the point at which you pay the higher rate of tax.
And also the savings and investment account, because actually a lot of people in Ireland do save, might be relatively small sums of money, but they're sticking in the credit union, they're sticking in the low interest deposit account, and they're not actually really getting much of a return.
So bringing in an investment account for them to be able to build up their own economic resilience.
There are three pillars.
Plus, I think we have to look structurally at the cost of energy.
Well, it's very credible because if you're listening to this programme now, you were paying the higher rate of tax at €33,000 in 2015.
And under budgets that have been supported or delivered by Fine Gael every time since, it's now €44,000.
