They're being screwed over by the tax system, quite frankly, and they're not able to get ahead in life in terms of building up their own economic resilience.
Many countries around the world, including in Europe, including Sweden, including the UK,
have made it easier for those, let's call them squeeze middle people, who are putting aside a few bob for themselves or their kids to be able to invest it.
And that's what we need to do here.
It's not a radical idea.
It's a common sense idea.
It's not the state footing the bill.
It's the state basically saying, so forget the banks.
I hold no counter for the banks.
We need banks.
The banks are an important part of our economy, but I'm not here as a representative of the banks.
I'm here as a representative of the people.
The tax system should work for the people.
