Anyway, what I was a bit surprised by is that Ian Tyler, who's now the new chair, was on the board at the time when Manifold was appointed as chair.

I suppose that's in his favour.
But one might have thought you want a chair who basically wasn't involved in any way in the previous appointment of the chair that.

So anyway, but as I say, hadn't been there for long.
Maybe he's not tainted by the previous regime.
He himself, safe pair of hands, used to be chief executive of Balphabiti, trained as an accountant.
He's one of those kind of classic boardroom figures you find in British business who's on a board of a portfolio career, I think they call it.
Wouldn't we all like that?
You'll turn up to each of the one day a month jobs and collect a tidy sum for being on the board.
So he's
chair, he's got a big job to do and uh but I think that as far as I understand, um, you know, things look pretty stable at B P from now after a period, as you point out, of uh incredible churn.
Everyone was um competing to see who could be the greenest business of them all because it c started actually with the investor base, you know, chairman and chief executives ultimately answer to is shareholders.
And if you remember there was a great pressure from shareholder groups to polish their green credentials.
