This was very quick and she became more settled over several weeks and months.
Then the next thing that happened was her menstrual cycles became clearly where the trouble was and she was most likely to be distressed around the period.
So we shifted to include women's remedies, which were then included in the mix to help manage the hormonal ebb and flow around the menstrual cycle.

It used to take about 18 hours to go through, and now because we're sedentary, we take longer.
But all that time, intelligent decisions are being made by the digestive system, what to do with this, what to do with that.
And the lining of the gut is full of sensors, receptors we call them, that are picking up chemical cues.
and responding.
So as the food changes, as it's digested, as the bile from the liver comes in, it's picking off these signaling devices and switching on a whole series of metabolic, hormonal, all sorts of other functions.
