And then the last thing is really that we don't know anything, that all our basic life skills are things that we think that everybody else knows and we don't, whether it's, you know, I don't know, like looking for how to boil an egg, which is the top searched food question.
And it's repeatedly the top searched food question, which says to me that we search for it repeatedly.
So there are things like that, which actually made me feel kind of closer to my fellow humans.
I think what I see is that we're looking for ways to cope with these challenges that we all face.
And sometimes you can see, like I talked about grief searches, they're particularly high in places that have had school shootings.
It makes sense, right?
It's not saying that there are no challenges in the world.
There are lots.
And in some of the top searches, how to help searches are how to help someone with grief.
It could be someone with anxiety, for instance.
And loneliness is more searched for than ever before.
So a lot of searches, I guess, are for us looking for ways to cope with those big changes and those big challenges around the world.
It'd be daft not to admit that the world is crazy right now for a lot of people.
And you can certainly see that in the data.
But what you do see time and time again is people looking for ways to cope with that and also ways to help other people that are going through it.
does google do with that so it's interesting because we know if someone's looking for a book or a computer but we know that the vast majority of searches aren't that so what is google actually thinking about and using that type of information for it's really interesting question which is probably way beyond my knowledge but i would say this data partly the great thing about google trends data is it's like it's transparent it's available and i think
For me, what I see is just by making that data transparent and just making it available, you can add to the world's knowledge and add to the world's understanding of who we are as humans.
And I think that's just valuable in itself.
Yeah, I mean, I would say with the trends data, which is the data that I know the best and I work with, it's anonymous, it's aggregated as well.
So it goes from national global data.
