When grocery shopping together, she taught me how to drive.

Later, during a really rough deployment, I had...

pretty bad perinatal anxiety with my first pregnancy.

And she had a toddler at that point.

And I spent so many nights at her house, which at that point was a mile away, that my Maps app started registering her address as home.

Oh.

And, you know, that was... She was my lifeline.

And it was...

We were necessary to our spouses and we were necessary to each other.

But with each other, we got to feel seen and heard and really share the secret of our lives.
