When I heard the question yesterday about distribution, I said, oh, it's over.
Oh, it's over.
Yesterday, when the jury asked if a friend asked me for substances and I give it to them, is that distribution?
What I heard there is that some of the jurors are feeling like, wait a minute, that could be me.
inadvertently committing an underlying distribution offense.
And when that happens, you can end up with juror nullification, where a juror simply says, I'm not going to follow this rule in this way because it's too stupid.
This could be anybody.
So when that happened yesterday, that also let me know they were not in agreement on RICO.
And then
Yesterday, when at 10, I think it was 10, 15 in the morning, the jurors had different areas of a transcript that they wanted.
They wanted to hear about the three different instances of violence against Cassie.
They wanted those sections.
They received them at 1 p.m.
and at 4 p.m.
they had verdicts.
On counts two, three, four and five, I say either it's going to be a straight up not guilty for all of them because that's not enough time.
I didn't feel like that was enough time to read those sections.
If you were going to find him guilty of trafficking, they would have needed more time, more debate, more argument.
So when I saw how quickly that was, I thought, OK, OK.
Initially, I thought that it was going to be the same verdict for all of them.
