But if, you know, push comes to shove, I am in a comfortable enough position where I can stop working.

Now, that was super easy in New Zealand.

And

A country like the US, it is still doable, but in a city like New York where the cost of living is super, super high.

It is doable but at a very, very, very frugal lifestyle.

If Friends at Invest went away completely and I could live on, you know,

Hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year and then convert that into USD.

That is like eighty thousand dollars.

USD a year, I think.

And that is enough, I think, to get by, like more than enough to cover rent and eat at home and take the subway everywhere and invite people over for a potluck.

But it's not enough to have like a car or take the Uber everywhere or eat out every night.

So it really just comes down to your lifestyle.

And I think my lifestyle is probably somewhere in

experience things.

I'm not a big shopper, so I think that's fine.

And I'm kinda lucky in the sense that I am going with a husband, so costs start to, you know, decrease when you're halving rent and you're halving groceries and you're halfing bills.

So that's kind of my long winded answer that

It will affect my financial independence absolutely, but it just comes down to if I can stop spending so much money.

So for example, I've been trying not to get my nails done.

I've been trying to get used to I'm obviously not just gonna buy clothes for the sake of it, but we will see.
