Well, I think, you know, it's it's been in in Australia since December last year and th the like the reviews are in and it's got limited practical success.
I think I think about eighty five percent of teenagers still are continuing to use social media.
Um on a regular basis.
Kids are clever.
You know, they they've been faking IDs since our day, like things have gotten further now, you know, they they're they're they're c they're creative and I suppose maybe they'll keep them out of the boredom trying to figure out how to get around these different rules that come in
Um
But you know, I'm all for parental controls or kind of you know, age appropriate parental controls ourselves anyway.
So I suppose it's our chance to
to rein things in a little bit and it's you know, it I f I found it myself helpful that, you know, you could say, Well you're not getting that that the age on that app is thirteen, so come back to me and literally the day of the thirteenth birthday there was an application for for it.
So, you know, it's good to help our counting skills as well.
Um, you know, so there's limited but like social media is only one thing that they do with their phones.
Um they play games like I've seen one of mine picking up like these fashion clans games are the ones, you know, b like silly games and they just pick them up just out of nearly like a fidget that they'll just have something to do.
So it doesn't end everything.
I think it's really important.
There are many times in my day, be it at work or be it at school meetings or be it at different events that I am bored and I need to know how to keep my game face on.
So it's a really important skill to learn.
Like it's a it's a part of adulting, is to know how to be bored, to know how to sit still and to sit with your thoughts.
But I also think we probably maybe we take responsibility.
I think the generation that are growing up now
they they w they're probably the first one l lot of them that were so overstimulated or so overscheduled.
