But of course, nobody is responsible for the deaths that occur on Irish roads.
And that is exactly the story that I've just told you about Cynthia Carroll.
There are people who are responsible for the process.
So rolling out the strategy, ticking the boxes, but nobody is responsible for the outcome.
Oh yeah, they're doing a terrible job with this.
And so, you know, one of the questions, one of the main questions I had for these transportation people was,
Okay, your strategy that you're rolling out, how's that going for you?
Because there's only one metric against which the strategy is measured.
I mean, quite literally, they don't have any other metrics.
They don't measure any internal metrics around the strategy.
And that seems to show that the strategy is not working.
Because the number of deaths are increasing, not decreasing.
And I asked, was there any, you know, a review or was there going to be some sort of understanding of why the strategy wasn't working?
