So it became a thing.

I'd go down on Friday.

He'd cook for me.

I'd do chores.

And we'd chat.

Sometimes I'd stay over on a Saturday night.

And we'd listen to The Archers on a Sunday morning.

And he made a really good breakfast, Albert.

He was a very good cook.

And sometimes, like I say, on the Friday night, he'd make chicken and rice or sometimes he'd do soup, Saturday soup, but he'd do it on a Friday because you can.

Jamaicans made the rules, apparently.

You can move Saturday soup around.

And he'd make me my breakfast and then I'd listen to the answers with him and then I'd go.

So I got to know him eventually.

And my relationship with Winston changed a little bit because he knew now that I knew what the situation was.

And he was always a bit grumpy with me, but he never hit me ever because mum would have killed him.

So mum would have killed him, but he tolerated me because I really looked like Albert.

It was literally like having Albert's doppelganger walking around the house going, can I have some tea?

And I remember he used to slightly, you know, he never let you watch the cartoons if the cricket was on.

So when the cricket was on, if you were watching Scooby-Doo, Winston would just come in and turn the television over, turn off the TV, I want to watch the cricket.
