So I was doing all these impressions and the kids at school said to my teacher, Lenny Henry should do the school concert because he was great the other week.
And suddenly...
The English teacher who organised the school concert said, do you want to do the school concert this year?
You could be the compere.
This coincided with me auditioning for New Faces.
I was 15.
I went to Birmingham to this place called the New Cresta Club.
Sticky carpet, smelled of fags and wee.
And we had to audition all day.
And I didn't go on till the end of the day.
And I've been watching all these people audition.
And it was awesome.
