He was raised on a Sunday because according to Genesis chapter one and the Jewish tradition of creation, the first day of creation was Sunday.
Jesus' resurrection is the beginning of the new heaven and the new earth.
His body, raised in power and glorified, exhibits the qualities that will be true of our bodies when they are raised, and the same qualities as Romans eight talks about that will fill the whole earth with God's glory.
It is the beginning.
We don't look forward just to a future new heaven and new earth.
It is present today through the resurrected power of Jesus in the world.
He wasn't just restored to the life he had before the cross.
He's raised in power and glory to a new life.
That is a sign of the world to come.
So if I could summarize this important theological point, then we'll get into what all this means.

What Lazarus experienced was the restoration of his old life by the reversal of death.
Resuscitation restores our old life by reversing death.
Resurrection begins a new life.
By defeating death.
That difference make sense.
