prices um obviously led by gasoline, but the electricity prices were were also also lower.
If we look at the core measure
it came in unchanged um versus expectations of a rise of a rise of point two.
Forecast range was flat to 0.4, so it came in at the lower end of economist forecasts.
And digging into the detail of the core measure, there was broad-based weakness across core services.
So shelter contributed to a 10 basis point decline, medical care services were down four basis points, and there was also a fall in in airline prices.
Uh and then um shelter sort of on on the shelter um disinflation.
Um Pantheon does note that there was a two point three percent decline in prices for lodging away from home and they suggested that looks like it was a one time drop um as the World Cup boosted um well the World Cup that's going on in the US um boosted that that boost in in shelter prices is fading.
Mm.
Um so so the point there to note is that the CPI data is based on bookings, not actually when you you are encouraging.

So the view is is that the World Cup impact had ha has already sort of filtered through into CPI um measures.
Uh prices went up.

So what
Yeah, so that there was that that there has been an unwinding of uh Fed expectations for July.
So looking at the OIS curve, the market's pricing around four basis points of hikes for July.
That was down uh yesterday it was at around eleven basis points.
But the market hasn't hasn't um moved away from the expectation that the Fed might still have to deliver rate hikes.
