Um our B and Z colleagues do expect the RBNZ to to deliver that rate hike.
Um and you know, it the expectation is that the messaging um will, you know, point to to further further rate hikes.
But that that messaging um in the report will obviously be important in terms of um influencing the direction of rates and currencies going forward.
Yes, well I think there is an expectation that maybe the minutes will be will be shorter, but these minutes will be closely watched, you know, obviously given that Fed Chair Walsh did avoid giving that policy guidance in the in the June meetings.
So the question will be is, you know, how much guidance will be provided provided in in um the minutes.
So I think the focus for all will be to see how much support there is from from Fed members on a potential potential rate.
hike and what the Fed's tolerance is around.
around inflation and maybe what their, you know, reaction function will be going going forward.
sure that they're gonna follow the market, Phil, but I but I do think there is, you know, I I think it's it's a healthy shift.
Um, but I do think there is yeah, there there clearly is that shift that they're not gonna give as much forward guidance as before and, you know, maybe there'll be um fewer Fed Fed speakers.
But on that front, Fed Williams was interviewed overnight on Fox Business.
Uh, I think he is le he's seen to be more of a dovish Fed member.
Um, but but the key point about what he was saying was he said, I do feel a little bit more positive about the near term inflation outlook um because of the energy price declines that we're going that we're seeing.
Um and his view is is that monetary policy is well positioned to achieve the Fed's mandate.

But yeah, the NAB Economics and Markets Research Team did a bit of a team building event last night and and we went to Oz Harvest in the afternoon.
So those who don't know, Ozha Harvest was founded in two thousand and four.
um and after the the sort of realization of the huge volume of food that is going to waste.
Um and so since then I'll s Harvest has grown to be Australia's leading food rescue organization.
And what they do is get they get food donated.
