Pricing for the Fed has eased back a little bit.
Um, you know, the market is the market is still pricing in the risks of of three rate cuts by the Fed this year.
So pricing in, you know, fully pricing in in two twenty five base point rate cuts.
Um so I think that's sort of a little bit on the optimistic side given given the data flow that's been that's been coming in.
No, you can't.
So, um as you said, it did it did come back a little bit in the week t um ending the um February the fourteenth.
And I think, you know, um what what the suggestion is now is is that the drop in claims that we've seen suggests that the the recent rise was really due to sort of the the snowstorms or or or bad weather rather than s suggesting that there was some fundamental weakness going on um in the US in the US labour market.
You know, we we had the the um payrolls report last week as well, which which
you know, reflected some some strength in um in the US labour market.
So as as you know, as as you've said, it overall it is it is just confirming that um low, higher, l um, low fire theme that that that we're seeing in in the US labour market at the moment.
No.
Yes, yeah, pu pu possibly.
I mean it could be that sort of not trying to find um the the skilled labor um you know, th that that may be maybe going on there and and you know, also, you know, I think in yesterday's Aussie employment report, which we can dig into, I think if you know that you're seeing similar themes there.
Yeah, that's true.
So um yeah, I guess employment growth came in at at eighteen um thousand, which was a little bit below below consensus.
Um, you know, talking to Taylor, I think employment growth you needs to be around twenty, twenty five thousand K to keep the unemployment rate unchanged.
But as you said, we did see a tick down in the participation rate.
So that sort of assisted in that unemployment rate remaining um standard.
At 4.1.
Consensus had been that it was going to come in at um at 4.2 on.
