Uh.
And for those who like the unrounded measure, it came in at 4.08.
So the unemployment rate still still sort of staying at at you know a low level and a tight at a tight a tight level.
So I think reading that the NAB Economist.
uh right up on on the report on the report, you know, while you did see a little bit of um weakness in the labour market in in mid to late 2020 twenty-five or weakness relative to twenty twenty-five, in the past couple of months we're sort of seeing some strengthening.
So, you know, that the which were is being reflected in a trend decline in in the unin in the unemployment rate.
And what they're seeing saying is
is that sort of bringing the unemployment rate back in line with some of the other indicators out there that have been showing sort of ongoing ongoing c capacity um capacity pressures.
You know, a reason why um the RBA, you know, tightened um at its latest meeting and it's a reason why
You know, reason.
Um, you know, we are forecasting that the RBA will tighten policy again in May.
Yeah, well it's all to do with the um you know, with what's going on in the participation rate.
um and you know whether whether workers are entering the workforce or not.
So there is a there is a bit of a sort of scratching of heads around what what is going on in terms of, you know, the the population growth and then and then, you know, the the employment growth.
But again, I think, you know, maybe part of it is is this capacity constraint that employers just, you know, struggling to find the skilled workers that that they require.
Um and so, you know, the thing to really be
focusing on is is you know, where your unemployment rate is is tracking and it's it's it's tight at four point one.
Yeah, look, they have they have reacted a little bit, Phil, but I I think um, you know, investors are a little bit burnt in terms of reacting too much ahead of you know, in in sort of this backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty.
Um, yeah, I guess people are hoping um that that things will be things will be resolved.
So I'd say that yes, financial markets at the margin are reacting to it.
