She is a true Australian success story, so I think the audience is really going to love the inclusion of Tones and I. It's nice, I think, when a show has been established format internationally and nationally, and

Interestingly too, to make a change to the format, like on a show like The Voice, you really have to, you know, you need to have that signed off by the production house that developed the show in the first place.

And I don't think this has actually been done anywhere else in the world, but now they're talking about,

going down this road with other territories around the world which is a bit of a feather in Australia's cap because you know the innovation and and the reinvention of these big global formats is what keeps them ticking along what keeps them you know holds the audience and keeps them there year after year so yeah we're lucky we've got some very clever people that work on The Voice.

Yeah, they are.

And when they walk out, it is...

You know, when you watch it at home and you could hear a pin drop, it's like that in the room and you think, how can it be so quiet in here with all of these people that, you know, people in the audience and the coaches, but it's so quiet, you're scared to breathe.

And then they have to perform.

I just – I couldn't do that.

At one point in a commercial break, I think the coaches started singing You're the Voice because Richard Marks is a huge John Farnham fan, as we all are.

They just started singing it and then sometimes they roll on what's happening in the commercial breaks because it's really entertaining to put that to air.

And they're like, get in there, Sonia.

Get in there and sing it.

And so I'm standing next to Sporty Spice –

miming right I'm miming because I knew the control room could hear me through my microphone and it was so bad that I didn't want them to hear me and I did not want that to go to air so I don't know how anybody gets up and auditions on The Voice it's

Unless someone has a baby with them.

And then usually the baby will at that moment sort of go –

Mummy.
