So I just used a fork to mix the dry ingredients.
And then I put in small cubed butter.
And then I just got my hands in the bowl and mushed it all about.
until it was good enough that it could stick together in crumbs right it's not like pie dough so you really want to incorporate that butter a little bit more than you would pie dough so that it actually comes together as a dough but then you just break it up into your little crumbs and then you get your pan the thing that you have to do is have parchment on both sides otherwise
the one thing that I think you really have to do.
And you grease that parchment too.
And then you put about half the mixture into the bottom, pop that in the oven, let that crust get going, pop it out after 10 minutes.
Then I put a cup of the jam on top.
It's an eight by eight pan.
And then you just crumble over the remaining crumb.
And I didn't add oats.
I didn't add nuts.
You could though, you could add almond.
That would be really beautiful here.
You put that back in the oven.
It bakes in like 30 minutes.
It comes out all bubbly, gooey.
It sets.
