Let's be athlete-centric and athlete-first.
Are we always going to agree and get along?

And if we're going to debate about where should a player be at 18, where should a player be at 19, if that's the worst of all this, everybody's going to be just fine.
that's our hypothesis right now jeff and you know western hockey league is typically 32 33 34 players drafted i think there's a good chance we'll be significantly higher and that's a combination of things right that's a migration of talent to our league so players are learning that if you want to be drafted to the nhl you're from the west the best place to be is in the western hockey league and so you know a kid like jp herbert uh we never would have seen
before right and so that's a starting point and then i think that the other piece of it is like you said when you get to rounds five six seven and nhl teams you know players don't all develop at the same pace and you're trying to decide do i take a guy that i have to make a decision on in two years or do i take a guy i have four years to make a decision on

Right.
And you've got a college guy or you've got a Western League guy.
Now the Western League guy might be the college guy.
And so we do see a shift.
We do hope and expect that our numbers are record setting, at least since they changed the draft to a seven round draft.
