I thought it was fun for a while and then really kind of begin to almost hit self-destruct on purpose, you know, for like, you know, to dramatize situations.

And obviously that sticks with you for a while.

So that's a big part of what I, you know, like to try and put in the rearview mirror.

You know, I describe that person as my former self just because I've got nothing in common with him.

I went sober for two weeks before the final.

I was drinking very heavily when we were in Innsbruck.

And then when I made the final, I thought, let's give this a really good chance.

I'd love to win this.

I'm naturally quite competitive and went home and didn't drink.

And by then, Vogue had injured herself.

So she was in hospital.

And I would go and visit her every day.

And we'd spend time together.

And she joked that, you know, if I won that she would go out with me.

And I said, okay, great.

Yeah, well, you know, I'd like to think I would have won anyway.

But it was in the back of my mind.

I was up at the top of the ski jump.

Louis Smith, bless him, he probably deserved to win.
