Yeah, yeah.
Um and that all sorts of other connotations come with that of why do you want to be a boy?
Well you don't, you just want to do the sport that you love.
So I think every success that Katie Taylor's had, every barrier that she's broken down, and other women who came before and have come after and and since, um, it resonates with us because it lifts us all, absolutely, and it provides more opportunities for everyone.
What Katie's done, as well as breaking down those barriers in a literal sense, to get women's boxing into the Olympics and to headline Medicine Madison Square Garden, those are those are facts that'll stay as they are.
So
Fuck.
But what she's actually done that isn't as measurable, that you can't put on a sheet of paper as an historical event, let's say, is changed people's perceptions of women's boxing.
That's as massive as those historical factual things that she's done.
And one thing that again, all female fighters will be aware of at some point
in your career, whether it's on the biggest of stages, headline in Madison Square Garden, or whether it's going into a local gym that you haven't been in before, you are representing all women in the sport.
You don't get judged as an individual.
Would it be a way to do it?
And I think it's less so now, but certainly back in the day.
Because one of the if you went in a different gym, all eyes would be on you and it'd be like you had to be good because you're representing all of women's boxing, you know.
So the the pressure that was on her was immense at that time.
