um a little bit about uh Mount Ida Preservation Hall.
It was a functioning church.
It was the Church of the Ascension.
Um
And it was built in the late eighteen hundreds.
Uh it was built directly over a flowing water.
uh waterway that dumps into the Post and Kill Gorge.
The church was functioning up until two thousand and four, which is when the church shut it down.
Um so from two thousand four to now it's been vacant with the exception of uh Brant Cared who
Um he is the one that runs the church now as uh the Mount Ida Preservation Hall, which they are
their goal is to
uh house the records of the old Mount Nadis Cemetery which is located down the street.
Yes.
That happened in two thousand and thirteen.
Um it was actually the first time that we invested the Maunada Preservation Hall.
Um
We were actually doing I was giving a little tour of the facility and I was walking with a group of three people, two or three people.
from my team and just kinda walking them around explaining where everything was.
