Paul's, we're a very strong league school, but we only had 200 kids.

So I was only probably racing against guys in my age, probably only 10 people.

Whether I was going to be a rugby league player or not, that was a dream.

And then I think it was like I was about 16, I think.

And then the Warriors were accepted into the Australian competition, New South Wales at that time, the Winfield Cup.

That became my goal, to be a part of that rather than the Australian thing.

And again, I would have had done something, because I know the way my parents were, they'd always make you do something.

But there was always that, get a trade, do this, do that, and that'll set yourself up.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, I don't know how you look at it, Lee came around and then became full-time.

I look back then, I wish I had done something, you know, like nowadays we players get so many opportunities to go and do something else.

You know, we give them time, OK, go and do a trade here or go and do like a degree here.

And whether it takes, you know,

10 years, still get something.
