I mean, this is this is horrific.
What's happening right now to our immigrants and our refugees communities?
I mean, again, immigrants are not the enemy.
We are not criminals.
You know, we are law-abiding citizens.
We are elected officials.
We are small business owners.
We're frontline workers.
We're healthcare workers.
We have the right to live without fear and to live with dignity and to live with safety in any of our streets.
And the prime...
When they come to our churches, when they come to our schools, when they come to our hospitals and pick up people indiscriminately and racially profile people, that is atrocious.
And we have to make sure we stand up and speak up when things like that happen.
Because this is the United States of America.
And we have these rights and we got to make sure we keep fighting for these rights as well.
We know that democracy is fragile, but we have to make sure we keep fighting for this country's promise.
And for me, as someone who came to this country from Vietnam, as a refugee from the Vietnam War, this country was very generous to my family.
It gave us a chance to be successful.
My mom worked in a factory for 14 hours a day with an eighth grade education.
