I was able to go to college at Yale and Harvard.

and work in community investments before becoming the state representative of Chicago.

So I think only in America can that story be possible, but we have to make sure that that story is possible for all of us, and we have to make sure that immigrants and refugees are welcome in this country.

Look, I think right now we all have to make sure we keep our neighbors and all of us safe.

We've got to make sure we keep our immigrant and refugee communities safe.

I think certainly we are fed up with this current regime and this current fascist government right now that we have, and we have to make sure that we protect one another.

I think certainly the fact of the matter is if these ICE agents are out here wearing masks, they don't want to reveal who they are, then they clearly know that they're committing crimes against people.

people against innocent people in this country.

So I believe that we have to make sure that we keep fighting back and we got to make sure we inform our neighbors and our small businesses of our rights in this country.

Yeah.

Well, first, I just want to thank you so much, Don, for having me on the show today.

It's been a real honor to be with you today.

I think certainly right now, Chicago is ground zero for ICE agents to terrorize our streets.

And we have to make sure we keep getting the message out of folks to know their rights.

Right.

I mean, we need to know that you have the right to remain silent.

You have the right to an attorney.

You have the right to not sign anything that you do not understand.

If a federal ice agent comes to your house comes to your door, you have the right to not open that door unless they can produce a federal warrant signed by judge.

And so, and we, so we know that we have these rights as individuals.
