So, you know, I think in very simple terms, there's no question the city have been confident about the outcome.
If you watch any of the interviews with Khaldun Al Mubarak, the chairman, you see the way that they've invested both in the playing side, but also in the infrastructure and the stadium.
Very much a business as usual approach.
But ultimately, legal cases are very frequently lost by people who think they've got strong cases.
And this bit of it is not unusual.
What is unusual is that you would lose a case where the allegations are as serious as they are in this respect.
And the city will have effectively taken a legal strategy elsewhere.
to admit nothing and to fight it out as hard as they could and not to approach it in the way that Chelsea did with their settlement and sanction agreement approach.
And clearly that legal strategy right now, yes, pending appeal, but we'll talk about that more later.
That's not a great strategy, but pending appeal, that strategy the City have employed has gone very badly wrong.

Well, only to the extent that lawyers do not mislead their clients in these sorts of situations.
They're usually very frank.
And Citi had a legal team of Clifford Chance as the solicitors and a whole host of the very best barristers, not just in this country, some of them in the world.
And those people go through hearings regularly.
They sense directions of travel of panels, and they are frank with their clients.
They don't tend to sugarcoat it, and they would have laid out the risks.
But overall, Citi's conclusion as a group does appear.
