But look, it happens.
People lose cases they expect to win.
The problem is from this position that City are now in, they're in a very difficult spot because the findings put them in to try and appeal this scale of defeat is going to be very difficult.
Well, I think the first thing to say is that the Premier League don't want the process transparent at this point.

You know, this is just a statement of fact.
Nobody's made an attempt to explain anything about the process, timetable, process, participants, et cetera, et cetera.
So everything that we know has been effectively briefed out or leaked out over time.
And this is no different in terms of the outcome right now.
We don't know exactly who was on the panel, but you wouldn't expect to at this point until you get the decision right.
published now the decision there's a bit of a nuance in the rules as to whether this part of the decision which is liability only i.e.
whether Manchester City did it and it now appears they did this part of the decision may or may not constitute something that's that's announceable and a decision that should be published there's probably a debate ongoing right now
in front of the very same independent commission as to whether this document can be published before the next part of the process.
Now, I think that there is a public interest in that coming out and at least giving us some kind of insight into the results.
the reasons for the results, and then we'll know at that point all of the participants, so who is on the independent commission, who decided what, when everything took place, the subsequent hearings, the consequentials that came from it.
So all of that can come out now, but I don't think that there's a particular desire
for the process to be played out in public and I think that's actually one of the criticisms that everybody will have and it won't change for the sanction part of the hearing which will also be in private and we will also be waiting around for it to drop in a similar way at some point in the future.
Yeah, I mean, I've been using the phrase really since the start of the case because I think it is apt.
