We are now in uncharted territory.
And I agree with Rory that the Premier League, it is positive that their governance procedures and desire to punish wrongdoing appears to have been vindicated.
But the fallout is enormous.
And you're talking about places in the league, but it's even beyond that.
There's players bonuses.
There's even player salaries in given seasons that can change on the basis of whether you qualify for the Champions League or not.
A number of players will have a 20 to 25% increase based on whether they're in the Champions League.
That's been lost.
There's managers that have lost bonuses.
There's players that have lost bonuses.
There's a whole raft of consequential losses that may be said to have been caused by City's breaches.
To try and unravel it within the league structures is incredibly difficult.
Settling it, which was a suggestion that some people have made, I think maybe David suggested that that's something that's ongoing.
I think in terms of City's position, that looks unlikely.
If after appeal City are in a situation where they can't overturn the decision, then they may well look to do effectively some sort of group settlement with a number of clubs based on certain metrics.
If not, we are going to be in a period where clubs are not fighting each other, but are going after Manchester City for financial losses that will run into the tens of millions of pounds in all likelihood.
And it's not even ambulance chasers that are running that.
It's some of the best firms in the country.
So it's very, very serious.
