She kind of did that when she said like I know I haven't got like a voice sent from heavens or whatever.
It's like you don't need to – like no one's saying that you sound like the best singer in the entire world.
You don't need to be that to be a successful like music star.
But it's obviously something that's just really still sits with her.
And it just made me think like unfortunately things that can start as like sometimes they're not even insecurities, you know, and then someone says something to you and maybe it's a time in your life where you're very vulnerable or maybe it's because you're really young but for whatever reason it really sticks with you and regardless of whether it was an insecurity before that moment, it's then something that you can recite for like the rest of your life.
And I've certainly had those moments and have like a number of different things.
Well, so when I was thinking about this, I was like there's too many kind of areas in my life and probably phases of my life where different comments have been made that have really stuck with me that have taken a really long time to shake.
But one that I wanted to bring up because I think it's really important is
that we really think about those early years.
For me, it was in high school, early high school.
I think I was year eight maybe when this happened.
But it was a female PE teacher.
If you went to my school and you're in my year level, I think you'll be very quick to know who this female – she wasn't – she was pretty –
Never ever touched a child.
I don't want to, you know.
But she was just very, like, firm.
