Hi, this is Stephanie Moss. For those of you that know me, you know I've been doing these for quite some time. The fun part is the doing them. The hard part sometimes is coming up with the content. I reached out to some of my partners and colleagues at our firm and I said, hey, if anybody has any ideas that they would like me to share, please let me know and I'll be happy to do so.

One of my favorite partners reached out after having had a, we'll say an incident at a company function, said, hey, I think you should talk about how to handle hangovers in the workplace. So I gotta be honest, I don't have a ton of recent experience, but from back in the day when I did, here's just a couple of pointers for handling a hangover in the workplace.

First and foremost, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. I know it's easy to get caught up beer after beer, wine after wine, shot after shot, but let's be smart. Buffer in some water every now and again. It really helps. If you don't, however, and you find yourself awake, having to rush off to work with a hangover, just remember it's never too late.

I know it'll be tempting to go for the caffeine, but buffer in the water. It'll speed things up. Second thing, medicate. Let's be honest. If you're anywhere even close to my age, hangovers hurt. Let's not be shy about this. Advil, Tylenol, whatever it takes. It is your friend. Take it regularly until you can get to the other side. Lastly, have fun with it. We've all been there. Yeah, it stinks.

And so you made a mistake. You drank too much the night before and now you're trying to function. Be a good spirit. Have a good attitude and just be more mindful next time.

And here is why. I grew up in a family where my parents made a huge deal about Christmas. We were the only ones in our family on both sides of my parents' family that lived out of state. My parents didn't have a ton of money. We had plenty, but not a ton. So they would truly save up all year long to make sure that we had a really good Christmas fun filled morning.

We also took that time to slow down. Both of my parents worked full time to get together with friends and people who were like family, even though they weren't, because that's who we relied on when we lived out of state from everybody else. to really say, hey, thank you. I love you. Thank you for this time. We appreciate your friendship.

So for me, going into this holiday every year brings back all those incredibly positive memories. It's an amazing time to get back together with all of our family that we haven't seen for months on end. And I'm so appreciative for that opportunity. So what's my point, especially knowing this is kind of a professional platform? Even though I can't be together with all of you.

I wish every year that I could, not in a weird like Christmas morning kind of way, but you know what? I'm so thankful for our partnership, for our working relationship, the fact that you would invite me into your professional world. Sometimes I knock pretty loudly, so it's hard not to let me in, but I'm just so thankful. So during this time of year,
