You have a little holiday house in America, mate.

That's what I was last thinking was imagine I could get to a point where you could buy a place so that you could spend, you know how people do like European summers?

It's like I would do a baseball summer, you know, like I'd just, as long as I'm there for two months of the season.

But isn't that also... Isn't the goal there not to have to live there but to have a place where... Maybe.

Like...

You know, when you're old like you are, you know, you're empty nesters.

Now, it's going to be different now because of the grandchild, but also the grandchild's going to come and go and you're going to go.

So leave aside all the grandchildren coming around.

Yeah.

There's nothing stopping you having a property in Middigong, up in the mountains or whatever, where you go once every two weeks and you just spend three nights there on your own.

Or we might go up there for three days or you might go up there for a week with Jo because she wants to get away from it all or whatever.

Has grandchild talk made her think more about retirement herself?

Not directly.

I would assume, and I'm making broad assumptions here.

The thing about Jo, she's got a job, but she's also started doing all that other stuff like the cricket ground and stuff, right?

So even if she retired from teaching, she'd still have the ability to do the odd thing.

And go, I still keep myself busy and get into those stuff.
