Obviously, he had this sort of sea of material that he would sort of bring in and sort of manipulate.
And so the act were quite the same twice.
He would react to his audiences.
Yeah.
But he never made that comedy horror thing.
If you think about it was sort of Bob Hope did that was in the cat in the canary.
He did a comedy horror.
And Frankie Howard did The House in Nightmare Park with Ray Milan, also a sort of comedy horror.
And they kind of worked because they weren't horror, but the suspense was legit.
It would have worked as a legitimate kind of melodrama.
But they just plonked a comedian in the middle of it, which gave it that extra...
And certainly not really.
They're very old fashioned, I think.
The class thing is interesting because Hammer seemed to be obsessed with class.
Nearly all their villains were barons or counts or something.
They were always minor aristocrats or at least sirs.
And the working class were really the sort of yokels in the pub.
