And I've certainly seen affairs where there were two couples, both didn't want to leave their partners, and those were very long-term, over 20-year affairs, which probably kept both marriages going.
Because the friendship, kindness, periodic sexual relationship was enough to support both people staying in their marriages.
So I don't look at it and think, oh, this is terrible.
It's not an ethical issue.
It's trying to understand in each instance why and what does a person need that they're not having.
