leadership hasn't used the most mature words to conduct that relationship at times, right?

Too many politicians give you flowery words and do bad things, so you always look at actions.

historic military and defense spending in the European nations has been woeful.
It's been one point something percent, usually below 1.5%.
The US has been double, if not double, and more than that.
And so you have a person in control who's tired of that, who's not putting up with that shit.
And he's basically telling them to their face.
Because they've been told that for 20 years quite gently and haven't listened.
So what do you do next?
You've literally got to slap the taste out of their mouth in a figurative sense, excuse me.
and get them to start spending.
So he's doing that quite aggressively.
Well, I think there's a natural tension point there.
The US have amazing access to basing out of Europe and other relationships there, which are worth a lot to them in a geopolitical sense.
So at some point, if the Europeans start spending enough to look after themselves, they would probably quite rightly say, hey, America, you can bugger off now.
Yeah, get out of there.
Yeah.
So at some point, the Yanks will say, well, wait a second.
