erica's dead right but so is the real issue is that like obviously you don't want to disappoint your niece or nephew but she wants to go to the clown museum and you're or the clown hotel i'm sorry and do like an overnight and like stay there for a bit and you're like i'm gonna do it but i'm scared how do i how do i steal myself is that is that kind of what you're calling about or do you want to steer the kid away from the clown museum

Now I'm thinking I should just suck it up.

I would say this.

Now the great Carl Young, brother Carl, would say if you do not face the shadow, then the shadow is going to pop up all over the place for the rest of your life and take over.

So I do think there's something to facing your fears.

A lot of people in life

get super, their hobbies become tangentially related to their fears.

I am, like, weirdly, I am scared of a lot of the stuff I'm interested in, but it's because the more I know about it, the more information I have, the more disarming it becomes.

So my vote, and we'll pitch some advice on this, would be to face the dragon, to face the demon, go to this place and conquer this.

And even if you don't fully conquer it, you'll be better off for doing something challenging like this, I think.

Also, you don't want to pass your fear necessarily to your niece or nephew.
