He doesn't see the benefits of it.
No, do you know what you mean?
So is it, in other words, is it predetermined that the winner of 5th v 8th will play 3rd?
and the winner of which is because technically if you want it to be if you want it to go to the sort of seeding you you should be hoping that fifth beats eighth and plays fourth and six beats seventh and plays
third but yeah as you say if you then end up with the higher place teams of the two that have gone through having the harder game that's that's not right is it no all i can say is that in the they already have this sort of system in the national league south where we've got some of our sussex teams competing
So Worthing and Eastbourne have been involved in these sort of playoffs already over the past couple of years and I'm pretty sure it is predetermined as to which of the semi-finals, if you're saying it's slightly different in the National South, a different number of teams get automatically promoted, only one gets automatically promoted.
In National South it's 2nd and 3rd are straight into the semi-final.
4th, 5th, 6th and 7th play two games between them.
And at that level it's predetermined which Eliminator winner will play the team who finished second and who will play third.
But yeah, that's also unfair, isn't it?
I'm glad you've spotted a little loophole there that they need to explain.
Yeah, I know, but why should a team who are effectively in mid-table have the season's excitement extended?
If they want the season's excitement extended, play better, win more games and get in the top six, I would say.
More money to the clubs involved?
More money into football generally?
Does football need more money coming into it from fans?
I don't know I think they can do quite well already really especially with Pompey fans paying 39 quid to go and sit at QPR next week which I've noticed we've sold out of course we have because people want to go to it yeah I hear what the devil is saying there what the devil's advocate is saying but no you're not going to change my mind sorry
