Authorities are not releasing a motive for the attack on the church or whether the suspect was known to local law enforcement.

Police say an unidentified 40-year-old man rammed his vehicle into the front doors of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, Michigan, about 60 miles north of Detroit.
The man then allegedly opened fire on people attending the morning church service.
Police believe he also started a fire that burned much of the church.
Officials say responding officers engaged the gunman, killing him.
Scott Bennett is the Grand Blanc Township supervisor.
Authorities are searching a part of the church heavily damaged by fire.
