right california is the poorest state in america how is that possible in a state with these kinds of resources both human and natural resources that this is poorer than west virginia or mississippi california poorest state in the country totally preventable disasters complete failure to rebuild one of the most beautiful neighborhoods on planet earth and we can't get it rebuilt in the united states of america
I mean, think of what California used to do.
Think of the earthquakes, something you cannot predict, something you cannot control, unlike the wildfires.
Think of the earthquakes in San Francisco, how quickly that city rebuilt, right?
With that kind of spirit, when California was still truly sort of a Western state, had a frontier mentality, and how quickly San Francisco rebuilt.
Or even in the current day, going back to Florida, Florida, which gets hit with hurricanes, which again, you can't manage a hurricane, okay?
There's just nothing you can do.
about a hurricane coming in and hitting you.
Look at the way Florida rebuilds.
Look at what Ron DeSantis has done there time and again with serious natural disasters striking his state.
And then contrast that with what Gavin Newsom has done in the failure to rebuild.
Because again, as awful as the fire itself was, I put even more blame and more onus on him.
And I think it's even worse in terms of for his record,
the failure to rebuild afterward because the fire was a snapshot in time and it was a disaster and it was totally preventable.
But now what we have is a slow motion disaster, right?
That's been going on a year and a half long and counting.
And it doesn't seem like it's gonna round the corner anytime soon.
I mean, am I gonna come back and make this doc in two years and then find the same thing, Dr. Drew?
Perhaps.
no i'd rather they just stay dependent and be good voters that we hand money to because that's how we keep our control of the state right yeah no unfortunately and you know and again i was there on a weekday in the middle of the day nothing going on i mean nothing it it literally looked like it had just been bombed that's the kind of impression it didn't look so much like a fire um looked more like it had been attacked uh you know militarily and ashes everywhere
